American Express Gold Charge Card
25,000 Membership Rewards after $1,000 spend in first 3 months. Earns 2x Membership Rewards for purchases made directly with airlines, and US restaurants. 1x for everything else. $160 annual fee, waived the first year.
American Express Green Charge Card
25,000 Membership Rewards after $1,000 spend in first 3 months. Earn 1x Membership Rewards for all purchases. $95 annual fee, waived the first year.
These aren’t very good cards, but they are charge cards, allowing you to get by the 4 credit card limit with American Express. Also, this is much higher than the standard bonus of 5,000 MR on the Green Card and none on the Gold Card. If you need to keep your Membership Rewards account alive because you are cancelling one of the premium Amex cards, this is a good way to do that.
