Citi is really upping their game lately. This 60,000 point signup bonus is higher than any bonus in the last year or so. The required spend is $3,500 in 3 months, which is slightly higher than the normal minimum spending of $3,000.
Citi ThankYou points can be transferred to a variety of airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Air France/KLM Flying Blue, Etihad Guest, as well as to Hilton HHonors.
They can also be redeemed on travel for 1.25 cents a point or 1.6 cents a point on American Airlines if you have the Citi Prestige card as well.
The earning structure on this card is 3x all travel including gas, 2x on entertainment and dining, and 1x everything else, which is a strictly better structure than the Citi Prestige.
Note from Esther (8/28/15): we’ve been hearing reports from the frontlines that Citi has been tightening up on applications and has been denying applications for “too many inquiries.” However, reports have been inconsistent, so YMMV! Good luck!
